Cross-country skiing in the Dolomiti Nordicski region Seiser Alm DOLOMITES Val Gardena

Fantastic winter landscape

Cross-country skiing on Europe’s largest mountain plateau - Discover the DOLOMITES REGION SEISER ALM on the cross-country trails.
The snow-covered high-alpine plateau Seiser Alm is a true paradise for cross-country skiers. The almost endless breadth of the slightly hilly and sun-spoiled landscape with lush forest islands and surrounded by the bizarre Dolomite rocks is always worth being discovered on skis.

A total of 80 km of sunny cross-country trails of different levels of difficulty at an altitude of between 1,800 and 2,200 metres await cross-country skiers. The track lengths vary from 2 km for beginners to the "Jochloipe" track, which is the longest high-alpine track at Seiser Alm with a total length of 15 km. All tracks at Seiser Alm have double and quadruple lanes and are suitable for skating or classic style.  When you’re cross-country skiing over the Seiser Alm, you don’t just get the vastness of Europe’s largest mountain plateau to enjoy, but also the Dolomite Mountains: The Langkofel, Plattkofel and the Schlern are practically within hand’s reach.

Cross-country skiing in the top athletes' training venue: The Seiser Alm in the Dolomites is high up on the list for pros. Due to the low-oxygen high-altitude air between 1,800 and 2,300 metres above sea level, the Seiser Alm is particularly well suited for professional high-altitude and endurance training. It is an Eldorado for top international teams.

Tip: The Nordic Pass, a tailor-made offer for cross-country skiers in the Dolomites region Seiser Alm. It contains the fee for using the cross-country ski courses as well as a mobility offer for cross-country skiers.

Highlight: On 13 February 2025 you can participate at the Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm - a cross-country-skiing race by night on the alpine pasture!

The Saltria-Monte Pana trail connects the Seiser Alm with Gröden/Val Gardena, also a paradise for cross-country skiing fans.

At 1636 m on the snowy Monte Pana (S. Cristina) the cross-country centre offers nine very well-prepared loops with lengths from 1 to 8 km leading through forests and over meadows.
From easy to medium difficulty, for skating or classic style, here in this crystal-clear air everybody will find their own skiing pleasure. A 7.5 km long track connects Val Gardena with the Alpe di Siusi, which is also an eldorado for cross-country skiers.

The little cross-country ski house "PanaStua" at the cross-country centre Monte Pana has been renovated and awaits you with a range of services, including ski rental, changing room, lockers, a kitchenette where to prepare tea, WC and a comfortable and cosy living area with wood stove for moments of relaxation.

Val Gardena also offers a fantastic scenery, with the 12km long track in Vallunga (Selva), which starts from the sports centre of the Carabinieri and runs all the way to the end of the valley. Those who do not have their equipment can hire it here. There is a ski rental and a cross-country skischool at your disposal.
