Welcome to your cross-country holidays in Cortina
Cortina d’Ampezzo is located at 1,224 m above sea level in a wide valley between the mountain massifs Tofane, Cristallo and Sorapis. The "Pearl of the Dolomites", as Cortina is also called, was venue of the Olympic Winter Games in 1956. For cross-country skiers, Cortina offers
70 km of tracks across the enchanting landscape of the Ampezzano Dolomites Nature Resort. Experienced cross-country skiers love the technically very demanding track at Tre Croci Pass. The Fiames Sport Nordic Centre provides the starting point of the route Cortina/Dobbiaco and of the tracks in the Dolomiti d'Ampezzo Nature Resort with 7 km of circular tracks - 2 km of which are floodlit at night time and also offer artificial snow. Here you'll also find two ski schools, a material test centre and different services like rental, waxing, and more.
Cross-country race Dobbiaco-Cortina
For almost 40 years, every year at the start of February numerous cross-country skiers compete on the route Dobbiaco, the door to the Dolomites, to Cortina, the village of the Queen of Ampezzano. The route leads over the abandoned train track, which connected the two villages for more than 15 years.
