On the Sunny Trails of the GSIESERTAL-WELSBERG-TAISTEN PANORAMA REGION DOLOMITES: Over 50 Kilometers of Trails for All Levels!
The picturesque
Val Casies/Gsiesertal Valley is a true hidden gem for cross-country skiing enthusiasts! The wide, sunny valley floor offers more than 42 km of connected trails in winter, perfect for gliding through a dreamy winter landscape. The trail winds through snow-covered fields, enchanted forests, and past picturesque farmhouses and inns, inviting you to take a break for a hot tea, mulled wine, or a light, tasty meal. At the valley's end in S.Maddalena, skiers will face a challenging section, but the effort is rewarded with a breathtaking view of the valley and the chance to relax on a sun terrace. From there, you can ski back down the valley, always slightly downhill, on a wide and perfectly groomed trail. Whether you prefer skating or classic style, there's plenty of room for everyone on the Val Casies Valley trail.
The trail extends all the way to
Tesido and
Monguelfo, where it connects directly to the neighboring region’s 3 Zinnen Dolomites trail network. Whether you're a skater or a classic skier, the Val Casies Valley trail has something for everyone.
